What is Anxiety?

Anxiety is basically that feeling of worry, nervousness, or fear that can pop up when we’re stressed or uncertain about something. It’s totally normal to feel anxious from time to time, like before a big test or presentation. But for some people, anxiety can become a constant thing, where it starts to affect daily life.

It might show up as overthinking situations, feeling restless, or even getting physical symptoms like a racing heart, sweating, or trouble sleeping. Sometimes, it can get so intense that it feels like your body is in “fight or flight” mode, even when there’s no real danger around.

Anxiety can be triggered by certain situations, stress, or past experiences, but it can also happen without a clear reason. Anxiety can also bring out anger, which is a bit of a mixed bag of emotions. When you’re feeling anxious, your mind is often running a mile a minute, and that can lead to frustration. You might feel irritated or even angry because your mind’s overwhelmed or because you can’t seem to get control over the worry.

The anger might come out as snapping at people, feeling impatient, or just getting really upset over little things. It’s kind of like being on edge all the time, and even though the anger might not always seem to match the situation, it’s often a reaction to feeling helpless or stressed by anxiety.
